A Foodie's Journey

Kitchen Adventures for Home Cooks

Colleen’s love of food began at a young age- some of her earliest childhood memories include standing on a stool in the kitchen stirring gravy before weekend meals and helping her mother to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. In high school, her love of cooking blossomed, as she developed recipes for chili and jambalaya and began watching cooking television shows.

In college, Colleen began experimenting with new kinds of cuisines, eventually settling on a love of classic (but often lightened!) New England fare. Her major early inspiration (along with her then roommate, Jo) was Ina Garten. Colleen also developed a love for Italian-American cooking thanks to her then boyfriend (now fiancee!), Ryan.

Today, she continues to expand her repertoire, learning about traditional Italian cooking, but also perfecting weeknight favorites.

Colleen lives in Brookline, MA with her fiancee and two of their friends. Besides cooking, she enjoys experiencing the city, fine dining, and football.
